Hi all :) Its Neo here. HaHaHa Logan good to hear you having such fun .......... me too! Being big is just great! I have learned to open doors (so easy!) , I can clear the baby gate with ease and as for kitchen surfaces - a whole new world has opened up to me!
The other day a friend was visiting for dinner and auntie Zeta was being a little cheeky and asking him for food......imagine his surprise when he looked back to his plate after telling Zeta he wasnt willing to share his dinner with her........only to find his plate empty! Chicken fajita YUM!!!!
Then there was the fimo model that Ziona made of Zinnia which was sitting in pride of place on the kitchen side.......when i finished with that there was just a head left sitting in a basket!!!! Just as well I am much loved (!) though I must say Ziona took it really well , she thought it looked really funny and said we should leave it as it is and mum said maybe we should add a sign 'DON'T MESS WITH THE MUNSTER' HaHaHa that made me feel very big and tough - which I am not at all , I love to greet everyone I meet but if my advances aren't welcome I scoot back to mum where I know I am safe.
Luckily mum loves me loads and loads and loads (I just have to bat my eyes and she is putty in my paws!) because although I can do all sorts of things now when I get to training class I get so excited it all goes out of the window, I dont seem to be able to concentrate and I can't be doing with the teacher wasting precious time yacking on so I bark and bark and bark to let her know I want to get on with disrupting the class! Mum has to keep me working continuously whilst eveyone else relaxes just to keep me quiet and stop me snaffling everyone elses treats :D I think it must be a little frustrating because at home I am so good she can now tell me to wait put my food down and leave the room and I wait sitting until she comes back and tells me I can eat my dinner - even when the other doggies have already started to eat! Mum still maintains I can speak english as I pick up new things in minutes........ and then forget it all when I get to class - everyone loves me there as I bring fun and enthusiastic exuberance to the proceedings! But then they don't have to keep me under control do they?! Luckily mum has a sense of humour and finds my antics as funny as everyone else -like I said all I have to do is bat my eyes ;) Will post some piccies soon. Any of you other guys getting up to mischief?

Good things

The silver hairy one has shown me that it's good to run as fast as you can to mum when she calls 'quickie quickie' and do a sit in front of her - mum always has special treats for this.

He also showed me how to lay on my back with my paws in the air for 'nipnips' and mum says my toe nails are beautiful when they're short - she keeps different special clicker treats for 'nipnips'.

He's shown me that mum saying 'nightnight time' means run to your bed as fast as you can so you get a bedtime bonio biscuit and when she gets a chewy treat out of the pot it means run to your bed so she can go to the shop.

Mum says we are going to try some baby agility, think she means I have to step over poles and walk on a funny plank like the others do - she says it will be good for me to learn about this on the floor before I get big enough to go to proper class. If it's fun like tunnels I think I'll enjoy it.

Must go, it's past lunch time and my tum is rumbling.

Love'n'licks
Logan x

aw now i can see how your mum cant shout at you two. Herne is a stunner. hope he teaches you good things too.

My partner in crime

I thought you might like a pic of Herne, my partner in crime. We love to play and get into mischief and sometimes Mum has to put us in our crate beds so she can get things done. Think we blew it trying to help with the washing this morning!
This afternoon I went to the vet for cuddles and to stand on the scales. I love all the people there and can't possibly come back out until I've said hello to everybody, even when they're busy! I did my very best to show Jean, the receptionist, how to use her computer when I came back out but the nurse lady was too quick and managed to stop me knocking everything off the counter. I didn't mind because she gave me even more cuddles and told mum she'd love to take me home. Mum said she'd change her mind at 4.30am when I screamed and screamed to go out for a wee! I only scream a little bit and then I run outside real quick, have a wee, race back in and wait for a treat! Got mum well trained.

I stood on the scales and I'm now a strapping big boy of 17.5kg. Mum says I've got to stop sitting in the flower pots as all that compost is making me shoot up. Mum can be so silly sometimes - its all the yummy grub she gives me. She let me have my first chicken carcass for breakfast - it took me a bit longer to scoff it down than the chicken wings but it was great chomping and crunching like the hairy one. The RC kibble is yummy too and I have that for lunch and supper and at tea time I have some kibble with other things added, like mince or sardines. Mmmmmm fooood is so delicious and I just love eating!
Love'n'licks from Logan xx
oh dear logan !!! tell your mum the good news is it looks like you will be amazing at agility!!! you and your hairy silver pal sound like quite a double act. your poor mum must be driven mad with the pair of you. you are turning into quite the handsome boy i must say.

Logan update

Mum says I'm a kangaroo in disguise after she caught me snaffling a tea bag off the kitchen counter - I used the crate in front of the oven to jump up. The crate is in front of the oven to stop me turning the gas on when I stretch up to see if there's anything up there for me, that gas sure smells funny. Mum thinks she's foiled my efforts now as the crate is on end so it's taller - I'm working on tipping it over without making too much noise!!
I'm growing up nicely but spend too much time playing with Herne and making extra work for Mum that she tells me if I'm not careful I'm going on the first milk train up north - I can tell she doesn't mean it really 'cause she goes out of the room and giggles.
Me and Herne went to the grooming parlour today as we were so stinky and Mum said she'd rather let somebody else get the 'pong' out of us. It was great fun, we stood in a big tub and had lots of fuss and a humungous blasting thing that made Herne look like a teddy bear 'cause he's all fluffed up. I just look handsome :)

Saturday 4 September 2010

Hi all its Neo reporting in :) Life is busy and life is good! I have started training classes but to be honest they are a little easy peasy as I already know how to sit stay, down stay, wait and recall and other things too! Mum says I am the keenest dog (or child!!!) she has ever had to train and she thinks I can understand english because I pick things up so easily! (which of course i can or how else would i be posting this?!) I have been to a puppy party and they liked me so much they asked me to be their stand in "big" puppy if they need one for future parties! I've posted a photo of me and Ziona on my first walk and there's a pic of me at the beach in a big hole that I dug all by myself. Zinnia and I are the best of friends now and mum says she is very tolerant letting me share her bed - as you can see "we" soon outgrew her rigid blue bed and I kept lying on Zinnia and squashing her without realising! So mum bought us a bigger squishy bed that we now "share" as you can see from the pics and sometimes the three of us pile into Auntie Zeta's crate together which is very cosy! There are plenty of other beds of course but its so much nicer too share! Anyway I am saving the best news for last. Today I went to my very first dog show. I only went to watch and meet the other doggies, but they let me enter one of the classes and I was placed second in the best condition out of about thirty dogs!!! They thought I was in very good condition - for a springer spaniel!! LOL! It was a very good day as Auntie Zeta also won a cup for best veteran. I hope you all having fun and enjoying exploring the world. xx
