Trio update

Hi all, sorry we've been away for a while, you forget how to do thses things
Trio is doing so well. This is him on his favourite walk, we did this on his birthday, think this photo was taken when he was about 10 months.
He's a pleasure to have around. He often talks to us telling us when he needs to be fed or is ready for another walk.We are all enjoying him so much.
Hope all the other boys and girl are doing well. We saw Erin in the munster mag, well done. Must be from an excellent litter!
See you soon
love the Bramleys and Trio xx

Well, look who's 1 too, Monster Munch or should that be Fraser? I had a brilliant day, new toys, cake and even champagne, well only joking about the champagne, ish !
I got lots of lovely treats and even a couple of my favourite pickled onion crisps..
I want to wish all my brothers and sisters a very happy birthday.. I hope you're all having a great time out there...

Today ....

I am 1 whatever that means! Mum says that I must say Happy Birthday to my sister and all my brothers and that she hopes they all get spoilt with toys and cake like me ... toys are fun but what is cake? S'pose I'll find out later.

Looks like great fun meeting up with your pals Fraser.

You have grown into a very handsome dog.

Logan loves water too but prefers the mucky stuff to the nice clean sea.

Monday 4 April 2011

Fraser really enjoyed himself at Tentsmuir yesterday, it was great to see you all and we hope we can catch up again before too long.....

crufts

forgot to say mary that lyn and andy that have jedda will be down too at the gamekeepers classes with their red and white i have told them you be there so try and find each other.

Monday 28 February 2011

crufts

we will be down but not till friday for scottish junior team agility. logans dad will be at crufts and being shown, maureen gray from scotland will be there showing too she bred paws from her bitch to my dog. wendy lacy is a lovely womanshe is good to talk too , mention me. also john and fiona mcgregor have a hlf brother to the pups he will be there too so lots of folk to look out for.

Crufts

Is anybody going?

My younger daughter is coming down from Nottingham to pup sit for the day - she sort of knows what she's letting herself in for - I'll give the boys breakfast so she can have a bit of a lay in although I have feeling once I've left the house they'll join in the dawn chorus!

I'm torn between the LMC and Weimaraner ring, just as well they're fairly close together so I can run between!

Will LMC have a breed/rescue stand ringside?

The tufty one

is not amused!! He really wants to keep his tufts and throws himself on his back to try and avoid me getting at them! It's like wrestling with a crocodile as he throws himself around rolling and leaping like crazy! Considering he lays quietly between my legs with his paws in the air to have his nails trimmed I'm at a loss for the moment. Perhaps I'll wait until he's had a very long run and is too tired to do act the loon. Will let you know how we get on.

tufty

the black hair always goes tufty. give it a pull it needs to come out. same with the top knot they get. maybe gill will send a pic of auntie ellie - she is paws sister and always has tufty bits that i always end up pulling lol. she is very black and white just like logan.

Tuesday 22 February 2011

Daft question??

Does the black hair grow quicker than the white? Or is it just that the white is the undercoat and therefore flatter to the body? Logan's black bits are longer and fluffier than the white on his body. Looks like 'just got out of bed hair' - the chiropracter commented on how cute his 'tufty' bits were and a few people we've met on walks have remarked on it.

Logan

Must be the naughtiest pup of the litter, either that or he's so intelligent he pretends to be be naughty! He loves all the praise (and treats) he gets for getting things right but is so easily distracted it's not often my pocket is empty after a training session. He would much rather run than walk and heelwork is still very poor, resorted to a head collar to see if that would help and while there is a little improvement he still launches himself all over the place - walking near a road is a danger to both of us as he seems unable to help himself if a leaf or bit of rubbish should blow around - he just has to chase it. I don't like using the head collar as it pulls his head round and I'm worried that the speed he launches himself he's going to burt his neck.

Had Sarah, the doggie chiropracter, to the house last week and all the boys had a 'tweak'. Logan had a lot of stiffness in one shoulder, the side with the biggest elbow lump and Sarah said that massaging that area regularly might help disperse the fluid. She also agreed with Greg, the vet we saw last month, that loads of exercise would wear him out so he wouldn't dig up or eat his bedding.

As far as bedding is going, I decided to trust him and left him in the kitchen with a basket filled with a foam pad topped with 3 large pieces of vet bed while I caught up with some work. An hour later and he was in the bed complete with the door mat (missing a chunk) and the runner which had definitely run after he'd had a nibble - it had unravelled like a ball of wool!!

As far as his lumps go, they seem to soften after exercise and then firm up again - could be due to the way he throws himself about aggravating them. The only way to make sure he has plenty of cushioning while he rests is to pop him in his crate (also means our home stays in one piece).

Diesel sounds likes he's coming along really well - obedience training!!! Hope his elbow doesn't cause him any problems, it seems that although unsightly they don't hurt which is a good thing.

Better stop here and get ready for our run on the beach - fabulous for free running and I can see where the not so little tinker is!

Love to you all.

Diesel

Hi folks

Diesel is comming on well, he's about the same height as Auntie Ellie now but still needs to put on a lot of weight lol. We are hoping to have a go at our GCDS Bronze on Friday night should be fine but you never know what will happen on the night lol. He has also started competitive obedience training, he is showing a real talent for it and is a real pleasure to learn with. We are really lucky that one of our friends is an obedience judge and a real expert on munsters, her current boy is just getting ready to start competing in a few months time.

How are Logan elbows doing these days? One of diesels has come up so we have covered the hall floor in dog beds so he has to lie on them instead of the hard floor at night silly boy.

Noisy boys

Logan very rarely shuts up! I've even threatened him with the milk train back up north (only joking Nicky) but it makes no difference. He loves the sound of his own voice and will chatter, chirrup and warble quite happily for ages. If I should have the cheek to leave him in his bed and pop outside he can howl for Britain, even the postman recognises his 'call'. When I get back in he pouts his lips and woofles (cross between woof and yodel) while bouncing around on his back legs.

He's a little tinker as he always wants the last word and if I tell him 'shush' he's quiet until I'm distracted and then has another little woofle - think he's learnt that from Herne as he does it too!

He has the most expressive face while he's chatting and I find it very difficult not to laugh which I just know would encourage him to do it all the more!

I just love him to bits, even when I'm cursing at the amount of muck I have to clear off the kitchen worktops, walls, cupboards and cooker after he's checked them out on his way in from a romp in the mud - gave up on the floor a while back!

wierd noises

yep they do make wierd noises its like singing but simon cowell might not agree lol. they sort of bark cry and howl all at once, we often have conversations with paws although she is probalby being cheeky to us. her dad kai was very noisy and loved to have his opinion heard.

Stan. (paw print)

Hello all
Update on Stan the man, now in working trial training. Stan is extremely handsome just like his dad, markings are almost the same. Although I think we are bias!
Stan loves to go to the hydro pool, a real water baby! He has just taken to sitting on the sofa , bum only !
On Saturdays he has a tracking lesson, on Sundays he has his group training, Monday swimming lessons, every day he go to the beach or to the woods, the rest of the time he plays with Sid, Masie and Bert, sometimes he chews anything he gets his teeth into, including my glasses! At about 8pm, if were lucky he crashes out (and so do we ! )
It's lovely to hear that all the pups are happy and doing very well.
Do they make weird noises?

Aaaarghh!!!!

Logan has been given the okay for longer walks and free running even though his elbows are still puffy. The vet we saw yesterday said he'd not have recommended bed rest, rather wear him out and then put him in his bed with plenty of padding - suppose they all have their way of dealing with these things. Shame we didn't see this one first time round :(

As a consequence of all this rest and very little exercise (apart from his disappearing act) Logan is a right royal pain in the backside (and everywhere else) while on his lead - today I felt as if I had Tigger at the end rather than a pupster and I came back exhausted. Even after looping his lead into a makeshift headcollar he pogoed all over the place, tripping both me and my friend up. He's a right gobby git without his grey buddies to back him up when we met other dogs - boy does he have an ear piercing shriek!

The plus side is that everybody who met him thought he was adorable (once he'd shut up) and commented on how fantastic he looked when we managed a few metres walking to heel. Onwards and upwards - he's flat out in his bed and a cuppa has revived me :)

Way to go Jedda

Wow sis, you sure are a clever girl, standing still and letting some strange person make a fuss of you at Manchester. They must have thought you were great saying you were best puppy Munster. We all know you're the prettiest girl - you must be because you're our sister and we're al handsome boys!!

I can't stay still for a nanosecond unless I'm fast asleep and then I'm dreaming about running, chasing, splashing and chomping.

Love
Logan xx

munster fun

munters love to fill the house with water, they always take an extra mouth full for your knee of the floor so you can slip for their amusment. jedda got best pup .

Water bowls

Hi Neo, I love swamping the floor too and I get to chase the mop when mum tries to clean up.
She bought a non-spill bowl hahahaa!!! I pick it up and shake it on it's side and the water goes everywhere hehehe!!!

I love water even when I have a bath. Mum cheated and took me and Herne to the groomers last week because she wanted to make sure we got a good dry as well. I came out looking clean and sort of normal (I think mucky suits me better) and Herne was all fuzzy like a teddy bear. Mum said we both smelt a whole heap better.

Friday 21 January 2011

Hi all Neo here :) What a lovely time I am having!!! Life is fun fun fun! Where to start? I am now the biggest dog in the houehold (hahaha!) and according to mum still the biggest........ baby! My favourite hobby at home is collecting things off shelves , then I take them in to the kitchen to see what mum thinks ....... she doesnt have to say a thing she just has this look and I drop whatever it is (and potter off to find something else!) Sometimes I bring in things that belong to me and when mum looks, and I drop' she laughs and says 'It's ok Neo that's yours' and I pick it up and trot off with it which is one reason mum says I can understand english :) Of course if I am really pleased with my find and it doesn't belong to me I bypass checking with mum and chew it into little shreddies in private ;) There is not a door in the house I cannot open now so I can let myself into the girls rooms and surprise them whenever I like ;) and I have watched mum and worked out how to turn the gas on on the cooker so now she has to watch me .....very closely! I have learned loads of tricks which always impresses visitors and keeps the family thinking I am amazing. I can do paw , touch , high five , bow , crawl , spin and various heel work to music moves ...I just love love love to learn things and mum has bought a new book of tricks to teach me as she had run out of ideas! Outside home I love to romp over the Downs and I also do obedience training where I have graduated to the big boys class! I have also started gundog training which is great as it involves lots of mud and fetching things. It also involves sitting still and staying while other doggies fetch things and mum says I am really really good at this .....even when someone else took my dummy instead of their own (!!!!!!!!) and when there are sheep (!) in the field. Every half hour we get to run around and play and as the new boy I get rolled over and over in the mud ...... mum says she should have named me after a rugby player! what I don't like is the bath when we get home :( but don't worry I put up a really good fight to avoid landing in the water! Well thats what I've been up to how are you guys doing? Got any tips for getting into mischief? And do you guys like to slurp all the water out of your bowls and leave a lake on the floor everytime you have a drink? I love a good slurp!
Neo :)

One shattered Logan

in the doghouse

Logan has not enjoyed his bed rest, short walks and 'brain' training so yesterday met up with a friend to walk him with her dogs and show her a walk she didn't know about.

Started off okay, then a bit of pogoing around, trying to leap into the road after birds and rubbish and when we got to the woods I decided to let him off the lead so he could have a little freedom.
All was well and he sniffed and snuffed in the undergrowth and kept close then something must have caught his eye and he disappeared - no problem I thought he never goes far - hmm, all this bed rest has turned him into a naughty boy and despite both my friend and I whistling and calling him there was sight nor sound.

You can imagine the panic setting in as we hunted high and low and eventually decided to go back to where we entered the woods in case he'd gone back there. No sign of him there but after whistling again I heard a faint cry so while my friend waited I kept whistling and walking in the direction of the cry.

Talk about relief when a very subdued Logan came towards me with hanging head and tail down. Thinking he might have scared himself when he couldn't find me I called 'quickie quickie' and he perked up, broke into a run and nearly flattened me as he came into my legs. I guess a combination of pent up energy and teenage rebelliousness doesn't make for a well behaved pup.

He was missing for almost an hour and got his just desserts today - a trip to the groomers to get rid of the stench he picked up on his adventure!!

Back to basics and food will only be dispensed as part of his refresher course in recall!!

Hope his sister and brothers are all behaving!
